OnTRAC Teaching and Learning Framework
At The Riverina Anglican College, we believe great learning is more than the accumulation of knowledge. It is about shaping young people who are curious, capable, compassionate, and confident in who they are becoming. In a rapidly changing world, students need more than content. They need the mindsets, habits, and dispositions that help them thrive in new situations, collaborate well with others, and respond with wisdom and resilience. This belief sits at the heart of OnTRAC, our Teaching and Learning Framework designed to strengthen learning from Prep to Year 12.
Built on the educational research of Guy Claxton and his Learning Power Approach, OnTRAC equips students to become agentic learners who take ownership of their growth. Claxton’s work highlights the importance of developing a flexible and resilient mind, with productive mindsets and strong learning capabilities that support students to persist through challenge and adapt with confidence. OnTRAC translates this research into a practical, whole-of-College framework that guides our teachers and empowers every student with tools to engage more deeply, access curriculum content more effectively, and flourish well beyond school.
