CIS Sport

The NSW Combined Independent Schools Sports Council, known as CIS, aims to provide a pathway to State and National level competition in a wide variety of sports for students in the independent sector.

The website is: https://cis.nsw.edu.au

The process to nominate for CIS is:

Students express their interest in a particular sport with Mrs Kym Kjaer (Senior School) or Ms Rachael Addison (Junior School) via email or face to face (please allow at least one week before the nomination closing date). Staff responsible will then enter the students name into the CIS database for the specific sport.

An email is then sent to the ‘primary’ parent's email located on Compass. This email has a link to register into the nominated sport (please ensure that parent emails are updated on the Compass Portal).

The parent completes the online registration.

The student is now registered to compete in the competition.

Families are now responsible to arrange any accommodation and transportation required for the event.

Families are required to report back to the College regarding results of selections after the event so we can celebrate the achievements of the students who represent the College/RAS/CIS.

PLEASE NOTE: It is the responsibility of the student and parents to initiate the process of CIS nomination and registration. Students and parents must be proactive in sourcing representative dates of competition, registration deadlines and closures using the CIS website. The cost of registration is approx  $25.00 - $30.00 (depending on the sport). The College pays this cost initially. If the family withdraws from the trial they will be charged the cancellation fee, which is the registration cost.

If you have any questions, please contact the College Coordinator of Representative Sport.
