LOTE

The study of a language is a compulsory part of the Years 7-12 curriculum.
French is taught at TRAC. It is compulsory in Years 7 and 8, and an elective choice in Years 9-12.
In Years 7 and 8 the emphasis is on spoken French, while also being introduced to French grammar. In Years 9-12 students develop a deeper understanding of French grammar as well as continually developing their French vocabulary. The four areas covered are: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. As well as these skills, students also develop an understanding of the culture behind the language, and its relationship to their native language.
